Wood, Claudette
Claudette Wood, 76, of Lexington, KY formerly of Irvine passed away at her home on Friday, march 5, 2010 after a long illness.
Claudette was preceded in death by her parents, Sally Arvin Wood and Claud D. Wood; husband, Edward Richardson and brother, Wayne Christopher, all of Irvine.
Survivors include three sons, Jim Ruffing and wife Pauline of Ravenna, David Ruffing and wife Kathy of Lexington, Scott Ruffing and wife Cherry of Irvine. A daughter George-Ann Wood of Lexington. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Doug Freeze and wife Beci of Virginia, Noah Wood of Lexington, Whitney Ruffing of Ravenna, Joseph and Caymon Levi Ruffing of Irvine. One great granddaughter, Cameron Freeze of Virginia.
Claudette’s passion was working with the mentally handicapped adults in Irvine in the 1970’s.
A memorial service for Claudette Wood will be 4 PM Sunday, March 14, 2010 at the First Christian Church in Irvine.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Humane Society.
