Margery Schwant Pierson
Margery Schwant Pierson, 93, Lexington, widow of Robert Ray Pierson, died Friday, January 8, at her home.  She was born in Logan, West Virginia to Otto George and Kathryn Elizabeth Schwant. She attended The University of Kentucky and remained in Lexington after her marriage. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, The Keeneland Club, The Lexington Club, Idle Hour Country Club and formerly The Iroquois Hunt Club and The Windermere Island Club, Eleuthera, Bahamas. 

She is survived by nephews George E. Cantley, Longview, Texas and John (Kathy) Herman, Cuba, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her daughter Anneliese Pierson and her sister Anne Cantley. She will be especially missed by the close friends with whom she maintained and active relationship for many years. 

Much gratitude is due to the caregivers who attended to her needs in her latter days. Private graveside services will be held at the Lexington Cemetery with the Rev. Mark T. Davis officiating. There will be no visitation. Milward-Broadway in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to First Presbyterian Church, Lexington, Kentucky.
