Charles W.
Moffett, Jr., 87, husband of Shirley Ritchey Moffett, passed away on February
4, 2021 at Homestead Nursing Home in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born on October 29, 1933 in Lawrenceburg,
Kentucky, son of Charles W. Moffett and Artie May
Taylor Moffett who preceded him in death.
Charles and Shirley met by happenstance in a local diner. They became husband and wife and enjoyed the blessing of each other. He loved his children: Luke, Clyde, Lisa, and Lori, and never saw any wrong in anyone. He also has a brother, James Moffett (Sandi) and a sister, Peggy Johnson (Dean).
He retired from Radio Equipment Company of Lexington, Kentucky where he worked for many years. Charles & Shirley are current members of Broadway Baptist Church and former members of Gardenside Baptist Church. Charles was also a dedicated University of Kentucky Basketball fan.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 1:00 PM in the Mausoleum Building at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens.
