Marie Hadden, 90 and widow of the late Selton
Thomas Hadden passed away in Lexington on Feb. 13, 2021. She was born to the late Harlan and Rosa
Knight Whitman on Aug. 11, 1930 in Logan Co.
Marie was a member of Bennett Memorial United Methodist Church, before
moving to Lexington.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in
death by 5 siblings, Edward (Thelma) Whitman, Mabel (Henry) Addison, Mildred
Gray, Katherine Mayes, and Harlan Jr. “Buddy” Whitman.
She is survived by her son Rick (Marjorie)
Hadden; grandchildren, Rebecca (Billy) Barnett, Joseph (Dawn) Hadden, and
Timothy (Tonya) Hadden; 7 great-grandchildren; 3 siblings, Judy (Ray) Allen,
Charlotte (James) Camp, and Joe (Charlotte) Whitman; her sister-in-law, “Buddy’s”
wife, Barbara Whitman; and many nieces and nephews.
