Charles Spencer Lowen, 82, passed away in the early morning of Monday, April 5, 2021. Charles was born to the late Stanley and Ida (Campbell) Lowen in Lexington, Kentucky on November 8, 1938.

 

Charles served his country proudly as an MP in the United States Army from 1961-1963. He then wed Mariam Johnson on June 4, 1966 and together, celebrated nearly 55 years of marriage. He worked for Thoroughbred Press, which later became Host Communications as a master printer for 45 years. Charles is survived by his loving wife, Mariam and was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary McDaniels, Janet Lowen, and Nancy Lowen.

 

Visitation will be from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm Saturday, April 10 th at Milward – Man O’War located at 1509 Trent Blvd. Service will begin at 12:00 pm with interment to follow in Lexington Cemetery with Chaplain Larry Gray to preside.

 

In honor of his legacy, the family requests memorial contributions be directed to Baptist Health Lexington KY.
