Edward "Eddie" Campbell Taylor Jr.
Friday 20th of September 1974 - Monday 29th of March 2021
In Loving Memory
Edward "Eddie" Campbell Taylor, Jr., 46, took his last breath in this life on Monday, March 29, 2021, having courageously battled esophageal cancer for over three years.
Eddie's pure joy and the light of his life was his daughter Adabelle Marie. Additionally, Eddie is also survived by his wife Melanie Preston Taylor, his mother Ruth Combs (Mike) Matthews and his father Edward C. (Fran) Taylor, Sr. He was preceded in death by his beloved sister Mona Marie Taylor.
Eddie's greatest loves were his family, friends, skateboarding, pizza (the fifth food group, in his opinion), music, nature and last but not least, history. All who knew Eddie will remember him as an extraordinary historian who never "formally" instructed a class. Eddie's kindness, generosity and spirit will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
At Eddie’s request, no funeral will take place; instead, the family has asked for anyone reading this tribute, to please be kind to someone. All acts of genuine heartfelt kindness are truly appreciated.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers to honor Eddie's memory, the family has requested those who wish may donate or have a tree planted in memory of Eddie at http://www.nationalforests.org.

My earnest prayer and sincere condolences are offered your behalf in Eddies passing. I have great confidence that you are experiencing God’s peace as Holy Spirit provides His presence as your comfort. Also, I thank you as you pray for me regarding Katie’s passing. It will soon be two years since she experienced the occasion of her mortality putting on immortality; for her, the fullness of her salvation. However, as her husband I miss her beyond words, as do all who loved and and cared for this precious lady. Thank you again for sharing your with me.🙏🙏

So sorry, Our sincere condolences 🙏🏻
Eddie was my favorite best friend. Never had a dull conversation or time with him. He was definitely one of the smartest people I ever had the privilege of knowing let alone call my friend. True friendship is measured by trust, loyalty, and consistency . Anyone lucky enough to call Eddie a friend knows they had those qualities in him. He was a successful friend, skateboarder, historian and most importantly, a successful husband and father. Gone but never forgotten, you will be truly missed! Rest in Peace br♥️ther! Virtus et honos! (Eddie's favorite saying)
