Joyce A. Towles

Friday 28th of March 1958 - Tuesday 27th of April 2021

Joyce A. Towles
Joyce A. Towles, 63, beloved wife of Billy D. Towles, passed away on April 27, 2021 at home peacefully in loving care.

"This day my wife, my friend, the one I laugh with, loved for, and dreamed with has gone but not goodbye".

Joyce, the daughter of Shirley Corman and Bill Corman who both preceded her in death was also preceded in death by a beloved nephew, Taylor Corman.

She is survived by William (Emilie) Mattingly of Frankfort, KY and Judy Porter of Lexington; Billy (Debbie) Corman, Jr. of Nicholasville, KY;  a granddaughter, Cecilia Mattingly of Lexington, KY;  a niece, Jessica McClanahan; a great nephew, Zane McClanahan; and a great niece, Brooklyn McClanahan, all of Nicholasville, KY.

Joyce worked at the Campbell House Inn on Broadway for 20 plus years, leaving the Inn as the Executive Housekeeper.  At the encouragement of her husband, Joyce joined UK Children's Hospital on November 27, 2007 which was the anniversary date of her and Bill.  She worked in the NICU/PICU clean room as a unit assistant, a job and staff she truly loved.

A special thank you to Ms. Gay Finke and Ms. Vera Banks for visiting and helping with Joyce's care daily and weekly.  A big thank you to Judy Porter for the daily care sometimes 4 to 5 times a day which would have been impossible without her help.

A memorial celebration is to be announced at a later date for family and friends.  In lieu of flowers, we encourage donations to Kentucky Children's Hospital, specifically NICU, P.O. Box 34184, Lexington, KY 40588.
