Everett Tarleton Rogers

Everett Tarleton Rogers, 87, passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021 at his home in Lexington. Tarleton was born on November 15, 1933 in Russell Springs, Kentucky, the only child of the late Charley M. and Dorothy Bradshaw Rogers. He was a graduate of Russell Springs High School where he played basketball and other sports. He served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956. He graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1959 and was a member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity. Tarleton spent his career working for the Kentucky Department of Revenue in Frankfort. He was an avid golfer and a past president of the Big Elm Country Club (now Picadome Golf Course). Tarleton was also a charter member of Champion Trace Golf Club. He was a loyal University of Kentucky Wildcat supporter. Tarleton was a member of the Russell Springs Christian Church. He is survived by a sister-in-law, Basha Clay, Mt. Sterling; a niece, Sarah (Landon) Borders; a great nephew and niece, Davis Clay Borders and Harper Gwen Borders, all of Lexington and a cousin, Janet (Alben) Foley of Jamestown, KY. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patty Webb Rogers. A private inurnment at Crown Hill Cemetery in Sharpsburg, KY will take place at a later date.
An old golfing friend, had a lot of good times together.
