Graveside Service with Military Honors
Arlene Joan Foster, 85, of Lexington, and widow
of Frederick Randolph Foster, passed away July 5, 2021. She was born to the late Frank Eugene and
Rose Viola (nee Wood) Bessette September 24, 1935 in Whitehall, New York. She was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Her primary career was as a loving homemaker
for her family. She was an avid New York
Yankees and Chicago Cubs fan and she also enjoyed fishing and camping .
Arlene is survived by her three children,
Cheryl Lynn (Bruce) Richardson, Frederick R. (Helen) Foster II, and Daryl Bruce
(Windi) Foster; nine grandchildren, Kathleen Rose (Eddie) Raspotnik, Rena Marie
(Derek) Buckley, Frederick R. Foster III, Tyler Scott Foster, Johnathan Norris
(Kayla), David Norris (Jessica), Michael Norris (Ruth), Kelli McAbee (Jordan)
and Lucy Jakab (Matthew); 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews,
and cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was
preceded in death by three siblings, Frank Bessette, Jr., Kay F. Golden, and
Alice Penor and brother-in-law Bill Golden.
Her visitation will take place on Thursday,
July 8th, 6pm-8pm at Milward-Southland. Her graveside service with military honors
will occur on Friday, July 9th, 11am at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers donations are being encouraged
to Wounded Warriors or Alzheimer's Association.
