Patrick Meriwether Wylie, 59, of Lexington, died at home on July 16th, 2021 of a sudden heart attack. Born on January 7, 1962, to S. Patrick Wylie and Lois Meriwether Wylie of Lexington.
He
was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jean Coblin Cowden, James
Rice Cowden, and Hugh 'Bud' Meriwether. His paternal grandparents Robert B.
Wylie, Sr., and Dorothy Howard Wylie along with several Aunts and Uncles.
Pat
is survived by his two children, his greatest love, pride, and joy, Emma Jean
Meriwether Wylie and Patrick Maxwell Wylie, both of Lexington; his parents, S.
Patrick Wylie and Lois Meriwether Wylie; his sister, Jeanie Wylie Molloy, her
husband David Mulligan Molloy, and their two children, Peyton Meriwether Molloy
and Henry Mulligan Molloy, all of Lexington; several cousins, nieces, and
nephews. Pat leaves behind so many loving and caring friends.
Pat
attended The Lexington School, Henry Clay High School, and graduated from The
Blue Ridge School in St. George, Virginia. He attended Transylvania University,
the University of Arizona, and the University of Kentucky where he and was an
active member of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. He was friends with Bill W.,
and a former member of Idle Hour Country Club. He was employed by the Kroger
Company.
Visitation
will be Monday, July 26, 2021, from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm at Milward-Broadway location. There will be a private family service officiated
by Reverend David A. Shirey of Central Christian Church.
In
