Marcia Kay Knight

Marcia Kay Knight, 65, passed away in the early morning of Monday, July 26, 2021. Marcia was born to the late Warren and Jo Anne (Merrick) Bugg in Lexington, Kentucky on February 9, 1956.
Marcia wed Timothy Knight June 30, 1995 and together, they celebrated 26 years of marriage. Marcia spent 32+ years on the contract at Bluegrass Station working for Serv-Air, E-Systems, Raytheon, L-3 Communications and lastly Lockheed Martin in a variety of positions before retiring this past June. Marcia took great pride in knowing her work supported the men and women of the military. Marcia loved her stuffed animals, her pets (Afghan hound and Sam) and the horse, all breeds, shapes, sizes and colors. Junior League horse show in Lexington and the World Championship Horse Show at the Kentucky State Fair were annual trips.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Tim; stepbrother, David (Joan) Bugg; Cousins Brenda, Cathy, Sarah, Bernice, Barbara, Nancy, Lynn, Bobby, Billy, Debbie. In addition to her parents, Marcia was preceded in death by her stepmother, Anne Spoonamore.
Visitation for Marcia will be held Sunday, August 1st 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm at Milward-Southland located at 391 Southland Drive with funeral service Monday, August 2nd at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment in Lexington Cemetery will follow.
Donations can be made to the Saddlebred Horse Museum at the Kentucky Horse Park or The Humane Society.

My deepest condolences to Tim and all the family and friends of Marcia. My sister just told me about the loss of Marcia- in grade school my sister and Marcia were best friends for many years - 1st grade into college. Marcia was my dear friend also and now I can’t tell you how many memories are going through my mind on life in our high school years through age Thirties!! I can laugh & smile thinking about times we had! I can imagine Heaven has an Angel with Marcia! I haven’t saw Marcia in so many years but my heart has a break into it and it’s deep! Rest In Peace Angel. 🌹

I'd like to say how saddened we all were to hear of Marcia's passing Tim. She seemed to be a wonderful woman and she will be greatly missed. We will continue to pray for you to find peace in this sad time.
So sorry Tim for your loss. You know I loved Marcia more than anything. We had great times together. I am honored to call her one of my best friends. She would do anything to help in any way. I will never forget her . She always ask about my kids and grandbabies every time we talked. If you ever need anything just call. My heart goes out to you at this time.
Tim, I am so sorry for your loss. Marcia Kay was one of my best friends and I will forever cherish all the memories of her. She was so special in so many ways. Heaven now has one of the most generous and funny souls to ever live. May she rest in peace.
I had the pleasure of working with Marsha for 28 years. But it was an honor to call her my friend! She was kind and genuine to everyone at all times. She loved her husband and family. She will be greatly missed! RIP my old friend. LOTS of love
