Maurisa Makalynn Renee Sweat, 25, of Lexington passed away July 24, 2021.  A native of Lexington, she was born to Maurice L. Sweat and Kimberly Joan Staed Webb on July 23, 1996. 


She was a Tates Creek high school graduate (’14) and she went on to work as a vet tech at Richmond Road Veterinary Clinic in Lexington. 


Natural to her work in the veterinary field, she loved animals.  Most of all, Maurisa loved her family.


In addition to her mother and father, she is survived by her step-father, Timetric S. Webb; her five siblings, Kierstin Sweat, Brandon Epps, Jazzmine Webb, Kylei Webb, and Nathan Sweat; and her numerous beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents.


Her services will be held on Friday, July 30th at Milward-Southland: Visitation from 11am until 1pm; Funeral at 1pm.  Burial will follow at Lexington Cemetery.


In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to the Lexington Humane Society (https://www.lexingtonhumanesociety.org/).
