Dear ones I just read about Janis on the BHS website. I too attended West Blvd and was in Troop 282. We were quite the troop. May God Bless you and grant you comfort at this time and always. Her tribute was beautiful. Joanie Johnson DeLadurantey

Dan, Austin and family, I just learned of Jan's passing from our Boardman High School website and colleagues. We are all deeply saddened. Jan and I grew up together. We were in brownies together, slept over at each other's houses, went to Camp Fitch in the summers together and swam at Boardman Canfield swim club. We rode bikes together, attended Ohio University. She was so much fun. We laughed, we were very athletic and participated in many sports. There are so many great stories. At camp, we won all the athletic events and took sports very seriously. Jan was always a beautiful person. Very upbeat. I am sure you have very fond memories. The video of Jan is so lovely. So nice to see that she enjoyed a happy, live with her family. I know that you have many wonderful memories of Jan. We surely do. She brings a smile to my face when I think back about how lucky we were. Bonnie Froom Pinkerton

Dan, Austin and family, It was such a pleasure to have known and worked with Jan during her time at the Herald-Leader. She was always full of energy and kept a lot of her friends and work associates on there toes just trying to keep up with her, Ron Thurman especially. We're truly sorry for your families loss as I'm sure she is going to be missed in such a big way, by all of you and her many many friends. Respectfully, David and Darlene Leet
