Howard Wayne Denham, 90, son of the late Arthur and Effie Denham. He was born in Cloverport, KY on June 19th, 1931. He went to be with the Lord on Friday October 1st. When he graduated from high school in 1949, he attended Campbellsville University where he played basketball. During the Korean War he joined the United States Air Force. He was in the Air Vac Medical Unit, evacuating the wounded from Korea to the United States. When he got out of the service he attended the University of Kentucky, where he met his loving wife of 63 years.  


He was preceded in death by two sons, Howard Kevin Denham and Brian Wayne Denham, one grandchild, Corey Denham, one sister, Charlotte Burchette, and two brothers, Charles Denham and Turner Denham.  He is survived by his wife, Shirley Redden Denham, one son, Jeffrey (Lavonda) Denham, two daughter-in-law, Kathy Denham and Cheryl Denham. Three sisters, Bernice Newby, Virginia Houchens, and Carolyn Wilhite. One sister-in-law Janet Strouse. Nine grandchildren, Brad (Courtney) Caudill, Nathan Simpson, Shelbi Denham, Taylor Denham, Frankie (Johnny) Esteppe, Alissa Denham, Brice Denham, Brooks Denham and Brady Denham. Five great-grandchildren, Skylar and Kylee Simpson, Oliva Jackson, Waylan Caudill, and Gracen Esteppe.  He enjoyed his friends at off track and having daily breakfast with a special couple.  


Visitation will be on Thurs., Oct. 7, 2021 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.  Interment will be on Thursday at Camp Nelson National Cemetery at 2:30 pm.  The pallbearers will be Brad Caudill, Brooks Denham, Brady Denham, Johnny Esteppe, Ben Sparrow, and Bill Wheat.  www.milwardfuneral.com
