Cotton, I have no special words my friend. He was such a special person. Made my momma smile. He was so kind to my family. I pray the pain of his passing to end quickly but his memory last infinitely.
Was always smiling and so kind. Prayers for the family as they have to go though this loss. RIP Charlie.
Carolyn and Cotton I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Charlie. 🙏 Keeping all of you in my Prayer's He was a good man who loved and provided for his family.
My "pap" is gone and my heart is heavy and for a man who was like a father to you there is no words to comfort you in a time like this, no words. But for the people who knew "pap" you had the gratitude of knowing a fine man and family and if you travel this world and meet all kinds of people you'll never find another one like Charles Short. And for the people who just thought they were coming to Athens just to get your vehicle worked on for the first time, you weren't just a customer, you were now part of the Short family and "Pap" and Cotton made you feel that way. Athens has lost some great people and men and in my opinion, they lost one of the best! God bless the Short family forever!
We are so sorry for your loss. Charlie was a great man and a great asset to our community. We are praying for your family and are here if you need anything.
Rest In Peace my good friend. I will always think of you when I walk through the door to the shop. I join your wonderful family in this time of grieving. I have a few years on you so look forward to seeing you at the great track in the sky. Your friend Randy.
