Harry “Mike” Mattison, 83, of Lexington, Kentucky, passed away peacefully in his home on October 22nd, 2021. He was born December 12, 1937 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Mike graduated from Hopkinsville High School and attended Western Kentucky University. He is survived by his wife Nila Mattison of 42 years. Mike worked for Keach Furniture Company for over 40 years. His greatest achievement in life was being father to his children and PawPaw to his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents Charles Mattison, Sr. and Roberta Keach Mattison, his sister Joyce Mattison and his daughter Patricia “Patty” Mattison Pierce. He is survived by his brother, Charles Mattison, Jr. (Danna), his children Pam Shemwell, Barbara Mattison, Dona Denniston (Sonny), Curtis Wall (Donna), and Bruce Wall (Debbie), his grandchildren Adam Wall (Alyssa), Doug Denniston (Jessica Straughn), Danielle Green (Josh), Curtis Wall Jr., Kayla Wall, Taylor Utley, Clay Henderson, Michael Pierce, Mattison Pierce, Stephania Ashby (John) and Samantha Shemwell, and his great- grandchildren Zoey Green, Eli Green, Ryland Wall, Kyrielle Wall, Paxton Wall, Emerson Wall, Andi Ashby, Hayden Ashby and Jordyn Shemwell.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Mike’s life will be Thursday, October 28th 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at Milward – Southland located at 391 Southland Drive, Lexington.
