WEHRLE, David James, 65, of Louisville, died unexpectedly at his residence on Monday, October 18, 2021. Born on March 12, 1956 in Lexington, Kentucky, the second son of the late John B. Wehrle, Jr. and Lydia McKee Wagers Wehrle.
He graduated from Lexington Catholic High School and earned his B.A degree in Journalism from the University of Kentucky (UK). He was a life-long supporter of UK Wildcat athletic teams and moved to Louisville at age 50. David gained extensive experience in advertising, marketing strategy, customer service, lead generation, e-commerce, copywriting, product and service promotion, business development and account management during his business career and was working as Senior Teledemand Specialist for TechnologyAdvice. He served as a Volunteer Reader for Central Kentucky Radio Eye for 15 years and also participated in Studio Players’ productions at Lexington’s Carriage House Theatre.
He is survived by his older brother, John Wehrle (Sherry), and John’s sons Taylor (Kelsey) and Evan (Emily) Wehrle and his younger brother, Richard Wehrle, and Richard’s sons Brad (Corinne) and Conner (Whitney) Wehrle, as well as a host of cousins, three great-nieces and two great-nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted by Milward Funeral Directors at noon on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Calvary Cemetery, 874 West Main Street in Lexington.
