Tuesday January 11, 2022, Ruby Jean Webb passed peacefully with her husband,
son and daughter by her side. Ruby was born in Lexington, Kentucky on August 2,
1936 to Josephine and Monroe Florence. Ruby is survived by her Husband, Lonnie
Webb; her children, Michael Webb, Keith (Kim) Webb, Angela (Brian) Goodlett ;
her grandchildren, Courtney Beatty , Morgan Baker, Sydnee Webb, Benjamin Webb
and Kelly Webb; and her great grandchildren, Riley Seabolt, Hayden Baker, Ava
Beatty. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Lonnie Gene Webb II,
her siblings and their spouses; Bill and Peggy Florence, Roberta and Daryl
Beck, Edna and Charlie Asher, Bobby Florence, and Martha Florence.
Ruby
was a member of Rosemont Baptist church and proclaimed Jesus Christ as her
savior at age 12. She was a spiritual mentor for her family. She served God in
many ways throughout her life and was attentive to visiting and caring for
family and friends in times of need. She was a loving homemaker and caregiver
for her children, grandchildren and great children. She was an avid reader and
loved to fish. A graduate of Lafayette High School and lifelong UK fan, Ruby
loved sports and never missed an opportunity to attend any sporting event or
activity to support her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation
and Memorial service for Ruby will be held at Milward Funeral Home on Southland
Drive, Lexington, Kentucky. Visitation will be held on Tuesday January 18 from
5 to 7 PM and Memorial service will be held at 10 AM Wednesday January 19,
followed by a burial service at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens . In lieu of
flowers, donations can be made to the Gideon Bible Ministry. Pallbearers: Dylan
Baker, Matt Rash, Benjamin Webb, Keith Webb, David Florence, Brian Goodlett.
