Ruth Dorothy Earnest, age 91, passed
away peacefully on Tuesday, June 14, 2022.
She became a resident of Highgrove Assisted Living with her husband,
Randle H. Earnest, in November 2019, who passed away 2 months ago. Ruth was born on October 25, 1930, in
Philadelphia, PA to the late Kathryn and William Murray. Ruth and Randle were married April 9, 1960. They were transferred to IBM to Lexington, KY
in 1966 where they spent the remainder of their years living a fulfilled life
with family and friends. She was a
member of Faith Lutheran Church since 1966.
Outside of being a loving devoted mother to her husband and children,
she enjoyed bridge, bowling, piano, cooking, and hosting parties and relaxing
gatherings with neighbors.
Ruth is survived by son David (Glenda)
Earnest of Lexington, daughter Jo Ann (Glen) of Lancaster, son Bryan (Sarah) of
Lexington. 7 grandchildren: Corey
Stacey, Julie Matherly (Rob), Zachary Earnest, Brandon Neal, Alex (Elizabeth)
Earnest, Jacob Ernest, Kristin Earnest, and 4 Great-Grandchildren: Elijah Earnest, Alexandra Earnest, Silas
Matherly, and Iris Matherly.
She is preceded in death by her
parents, husband and William Earnest (son), Linda Clark (daughter).
Ruth Dorothy Earnest you are loved and
in our hearts for eternity. May you rest
in peace.
