Grace was born June 22, 1934 to the late Harrison and Jessie Davis in Lafollette, TN.  She was the youngest of 6 children. She graduated in 1952 from Lafollette Colored High School. She later became a certified Licensed Insurance Agent and was employed by Atlanta Life Insurance agency,  where she worked for over 25 years until she retired.  After retirement she worked as a cashier at Kmart. Grace accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church for many years until her health started to decline under the leadership of Rev. Peoples.

She married Milton Lee Turner in 1958 and to this union 5 children were born. Grace loved her family very much and was ALWAYS working to keep us together.  Planning and hosting family reunions and other holiday events.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harrison and Jessie Davis, son Robert Lee Turner, grandson, Joseph L. Turner, and husband  Milton Lee Turner.

She leaves to cherish her beautiful memories, 2 daughters, Barbara (Clifford) Shelby and Bridget Phillips both of Lexington, KY; 2 sons, Charles and Bernard Turner, Lexington,  KY; 5 grandchildren,  Fredericka, Grace, Michelle,  Hakeem and Gloria; 6 great grandchildren,  Trevon, Robert, Nolan, Jasmine, Rachell, Fred Jr., Omar and Tyler.  1 sister, Vera Margaret Henderson.  3 sisters in law, Irene Slater, Phyllis White and Margaret Coffee. A host of nieces and nephews and other relatives too numerous to name.

Services will be at Milward-Southland: Visitation Friday from 6pm-8pm, Funeral Saturday at 10am.  Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in La Follette, TN.
