Barbara Brock Daugherty
Barbara Brock Daugherty of Lexington Kentucky died on November 7th, 2022 at the
age of 103. Barbara was born August 5th, 1919 in Washington Court House Ohio to
Edna Fenner Brock and Lucian Loring Brock MD.


She graduated from Washington Court House High School and Rollins College in
Winter Park, Florida. It was at Rollins where Barbara met the love of her life and
married Bill Daugherty Sr. in WCH on August 7th, 1941.


Barbara is preceded in death by her beloved husband, her parents, sister Betty Brock
Brubaker, brother Loring Lucian Daugherty, and grandsons Richie Brewer and Ira
Daugherty.


She is survived by her four children:
Willian B. Daugherty Jr (Lorraine) of Lexington, Kentucky
Betsey (Steve) Lengyel of Oak Ridge North Carolina
Becky (Bob) Brewer of Los Alamos New Mexico
Brock L. Daugherty (Susan) of Winchester Kentucky
Eleven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and a host of
nieces, nephews, and cousins.


A celebration of her life and memorial will be held on November 19th, 2022 at 2:00 PM
in the Judy Chapel immediately followed by a graveside ceremony at the Washington
Court House Cemetery.


Her life era spanned horse and buggy, 19 presidents, a walk on the moon, the
millennium crossover, and newly launched Mission to Mars. Revered by all who knew
her, she was admired for her adaptability, resilience. and kindness- plus a bit stubborn.
Know that “Mother, Mom, Mama, Aunt Barbara Great Mama Barb” made her mark on
this world in love and with love.
