saysI miss her already. Who knew that after meeting her ten years ago, I would call her my friend. She was a professionally trained singer and we used to make up silly songs at work. She loved superhero movies and minions. I have missed her since I moved away and probably didn't contact as often as I should have. I have so many fond memories of her. I am sad and going to miss her.

saysDarlene and I crossed paths while at EKU. It wasn't until we were hired by UK that we got to know each other. I had a deep respect for her knowledge of chemistry. We had so many discussions regarding lab science and it's future direction. She had been on my mind for several months. I regret that I didn't reach out. God bless her. She is at peace.

saysDarlene believed in me (when I didn’t even believe in myself) and pushed me to always aspire to my full potential. If not for her, I would not be a chemistry specialist today. Every day for almost 3 years I got to sit next to her and learn from her (the best of the best). Darlene left behind an exceptional legacy and I hope she knew the impact she had on me and the lab. She was my mentor but most importantly, one of my best friends. I am so lucky to have known her.

saysI loved being a part of the Darlene trio at work. It is a bond that I treasure and will never forget. It has been my pleasure and privilege to work with you at UK HealthCare all of these years. You will be missed!
