Service to Celebrate Charles Baker

Charles E. Baker, husband of the late Winona Lewis Baker for 71 years until her passing on April 20, 2022, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, May 15, 2023.
Charles was born in Lexington, Kentucky to the late Clay and Dorothy (Manley) Baker on August 17, 1927. He served our country proudly in the United States Army. Charles was the former Vice President of National City Bank (now PNC) and retired after 65+ years. He was a Boy Scout Master of Troop 73. He enjoyed round dancing, collecting and building Department 56 Village vignettes, and WII Bowling where he was featured in the newspaper for bowling several 300 series; in his younger days he enjoyed league bowling!
Left to cherish Charles are his children, C. Wayne(Susan) Baker, Rev. Kevin L. (Rev. Cindy) Baker, and Dana B. Ungerbuehler; five grandchildren, Ashley U. (Sean Brummer) Struble, Kayle M. (Doug) Palmisano, Casey A. (Emily) Baker, Amanda E. (Rogan) Jewel, Collin C. Baker; step-grandson, Aaron Freed, and eight great-grandchildren, Gage H. Struble, Anna L. Palmisano, Isaac L. Palmisano, Caleb A. Baker, Gavin C. Brummer, James D. Jewel, Jackson A. Baker, and Miriel B. Jewel. Serving as pallbearers are Collin Baker, Sean Brummer, Travis Helvey, Randy Johnson, Marco Ortega, and Gage Struble.
Visitation for Charles will be Monday, May 22nd from 10:00 am β 12:00 pm at Milward β Southland located at 391 Southland Drive. A service to celebrate Mr. Bakerβs life will begin at 12:00 pm with Rev. Carl Wagoner officiating. Interment in Wilmore, Kentucky will follow.
