Mr Jerry D Adams

Gerald D. “Jerry” Adams, 69, died peacefully at his residence Monday, April 15, 2019. He is survived by his wife Suzanne (Perkins) Adams; mother Mary Helen (Van Arsdale) Adams; 2 sisters Cheryl (Jan) Gould and Mary Elizabeth (Bob) Estill and foster sister Fanny Sorkey. He is preceded in death by his father Hugh C. Adams, Jr.
Jerry was an avid sports enthusiast having played basketball, football and his favorite, baseball throughout High School. Later in life, he continued his love for sports by umpiring baseball, following his beloved UK Wildcats and playing golf as time would allow. He also enjoyed a lifetime love of music, whether vocationally with his Karaoke Business, singing with the Kentuckian Choir, or at Broadway Christian Church in the choir. Jerry was known for his wit, his expertise with trivia and his love of animals, especially his favorite dogs Banjo and Heidi.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jerry’s name to either/or Broadway Christian Church at 187 N. Broadway, Lexington, KY 40507, the Lexington Humane Society at 1600 Old Frankfort Pike, Lexington, KY 40504, or Hospice Care Navigators at 2312 Alexandria Drive, Lexington, KY 40504.
Visitation will be 9-11AM, Friday, April 19. 2019, followed by a Funeral Service at 11AM at Milward Funeral Directors, 159 N. Broadway, Lexington, KY 40507. A private burial will take place at a later date.
