Edgar M. MacDonald

Edgar M. MacDonald, 78, passed away on May 14, 2019. Edgar was born in Louisville, Kentucky on March 9, 1941, the son of the late Joseph Edgar MacDonald and Leola Foley MacDonald. He graduated from the University of Alaska with a BS in Math as well as a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Production)and embarked upon a 33 year career at IBM/Lexmark. He has been a member of Immanuel Baptist Church since the early 1970's and served there as a lay chaplain at Homestead Nursing Home on Versailles Pike for 42 years.
He was married to Vickie Alexander-MacDonald and the late Marsha W. MacDonald. His children are son, Tab MacDonald (Julie) of Charlotte, NC and daughters, Melody Fletcher (John) of Anna, TX, Lauren Abner (Daniel) of Georgetown, KY, and Sarah Rollins (Scott) of Richmond, KY; brother, Ronald C. MacDonald (Martha Jane) of Memphis, TN; sister, Elizabeth Glier (Dan) of Hebron, KY; and grandchildren Chase Kelly and Waylon MacDonald, Ashley, Savannah, & Austyn Clark, Landon Hammons, and Lola Dooley.
Visitation will be Friday, May 17, 2019, 4-6 PM, at Immanuel Baptist Church, 3100 Tates Creek Dr, Lexington KY 40502. The service will follow at 6 PM. Edgar will be laid to rest at the Bellevue Cemetery in Danville, Kentucky.

So sorry to hear of Edgar's passing. I worked with him at Lexmark for several years and he was always great to work with and friendly. He was very professional and passionate about his work and caring for those around him. My prayers are with his family at this hard time.
I am so sorry . Prayers for the family. Edgar was a great man. I really enjoyed working with him at Harley Davidson, I know he loved Valentine's Day because he always brought in the biggest chocolate covered strawberries I ever seen.
