Margaret Thompson, 93, of Lexington, and widow of the late Charles E. Thompson passed away July 21, 2019.  She was born to the late Everet English and Myrtle Dunaway English on July 16, 1926 in Bourbon County, KY.  She was a member of the Revival Tabernacle Church.


She retired after 17 years of service as a housekeeper at the Lexington Clinic.  Her favorite activity was playing bingo with her friend Clarecy Bell.


Mrs. Thompson is survived by her son, Bruce Wills; daughters, Janis Cook and Dee (John) Turner; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; her good friend Jan Wallace; and her loving dog Misty.


In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene English.


A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. 


In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Lexington Humane Society.

Margaret was a long time, dear friend of mine! We enjoyed reminiscing about our years at the Lexington Clinic and the people we worked with! She loved going places and we always had a good time finding new places to go! She was one sharp lady! I will miss her!
