Sadija Causevic, 61, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2019. Sadija was born to the late Kasim and Behija Causevic on June 20, 1958 in Sarajevo, Bosnia.

Sadija was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and friend. Though her time here was short, the impact she made on this world will last a lifetime with those who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was the custodial maintenance supervisor for over 16 years with the Shriner's and worked in the same capacity with the historic St. Peter Paul Catholic School in Lexington for nearly 2 years. The children and teachers alike adored Sadija. She was a strong support for her own children and grandchildren. Sadija was a loving and kind-hearted spirit who had a great sense of humor, and made everyone around her feel wonderful even when she didn’t feel her best.

Sadija is survived by her sons, Esad and Edin Gracic and grandchildren, Eldin, Jasmina, and Aldin. Also surviving is her longtime life partner, Sule Nurkovic.

Milward Funeral Directors are entrusted with Ms. Causevic’s arrangements. A graveside service will commence at 10:00 am on Thursday, September 5th in Calvary Cemetery located at 874 W. Main Street, Lexington.

Sadija was a lovely, sweet and very kind lady. I called her a few months ago only to find out how very sick she was. I wept but hoped and prayed she would recover. Am very saddened when I learned today she is gone. Rest In Peace dear lady.

I loved Sadija. She took good care of my work area at Shriners Hospital for many years. She would look at my family pictures on my desk and ask about my family. She had a beautiful heart. I always tried to have a Hersey Kiss or Dove chocolate in my drawer for her. She was a beautiful soul. My heart aches for her family. I will see you again Sadija. Prayers to your family.
