Saturday 7th of May 1932 - Sunday 8th of September 2019
She was a retiree of the Veterans Administration as a purchasing contractor for 30 years in Palo Alto, California. She also worked for the Floyd County, Kentucky Health Department and the Inland Steel Coal Company. During this time, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
Patsy is survived by her daughters, Judith Ann Gillespie Bush-Monahan (Robert), Gloria Jean Gillespie Carr, and Kathy Lynn Gillespie Hawkins (Allan); son, Thomas Brent Gillespie , five grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. Patsy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Tom Gillespie, three brothers, two sisters, and one grandchild.
Family will receive friends for visitation Friday, September 13th, 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at Milward-Southland located at 391 Southland Drive, Lexington. Funeral service will begin at 12:00 pm with interment in Lexington Cemetery to follow.
In honor of her legacy, Patsy’s family would like memorial contributions directed to the American Heart Association.
