Retha Ann Parsons Coy
Thursday 24th of November 1938 - Friday 6th of September 2019
Milward - Man O'War
1509 Trent Blvd., Lexington, KY
Our mother was a mother in every sense of the word; a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a cousin, a grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend. She was a loving, caring, nurturing, strong, artistic, creative woman who always tried to see the good in everyone she met. She had so many talents and passions. She always had a special place in her life and heart for children who were not only her own family, but she cared for other families by caring for so many of others children throughout her life. She was Gods earthbound angel who finally received her wings. We know in our hearts she will always look over us in spirit as she did in life. Gone too suddenly but never ever forgotten. She was our greatest strength and inspiration. Thank you for everything Momma. Rest in peace our sweet angel until we met again. We love you and miss you more than words could ever say. God has taken you home.
Family will receive friends for a memorial gathering Saturday, November 16th from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm at Milward – Man O’War located at 1509 Trent Blvd., Lexington. To share a remembrance of Retha or offer condolences to her family, please visit milwardfuneral.com.

Retha was a very quiet, sweet woman. I remember her from my youth. Her demeanor never changed! She was precious! I pray for her children and loved ones who grieve for her, but, I believe she is in Heaven with her Mom, Dad, Billy, Betty, and the siblings that came before. I believe she is your Guardian Angel I am thankful that they were in my life for a short period! Rosie Plowman
