Jim was born February 24, 1951 in Lexington, KY. He was the son of Bill Grayson and Betty Barrick Grayson.  He went to be with Jesus on January 9, 2020 after a long illness.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Sharon Crump Grayson; his daughter Lori Sanford (Justin); his step son Brent Berryman (Kim); granddaughter Shelby Sanford; grandsons Tyler, Chris and Joel Berryman; his sister Debbie Hageman; his nieces Missy Vasquez (Erik), Angie Crump, and Jennifer Williams; and his nephews Greg Hageman (LeeAnna) and Anthony Crump and by many other loved ones and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved brother in law Chuck Hageman.

A special thanks also to the staff at Bluegrass Care Navigators Hospice for their love and compassion during this time.  It was a God send.

Services will be held on Tuesday January 14th at Milward Funeral Home on Trent Boulevard with the visitation beginning at 11:00am and the funeral at 12:00pm.  Pastor Dave Sherwood will officiate.

In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in his name to either Bluegrass Care Navigators Hospice or to St Jude’s; causes that were close to his heart.

I knew Jim from Je High. We were not friends at the time but after an altercation and intervention of the vice-principal we became friends. Lost touch over the the years. Jim found me on facebook and apologized for the way he behaved back then. 😀I forgave him. I will miss his messages. RIP my old friend.
