David M. Andrews

David Michael Andrews, age 73, of Lexington, KY, passed away on June 18, 2020. David was born in Lima, Ohio. He practiced law for over 40 years in Lexington, KY and founded his first private practice in 1980. David graduated from the University of KY in 1976 with High Distinction, received his M.B.A. in 1978, graduated from the University of KY College of Law in 1980 and was admitted to the KY Bar Association in 1980. David never hesitated to help a friend in need. He loved to walk his neighbor's dog every day and cherished his time spent with his Goddaughter, Parker. His favorite hobby was golf. He attended The Masters and PGA Golf Tournaments, played at golf courses around the U.S., and served on the Board of Directors of Andover Golf & County Club. David never missed an opportunity to be with his weekly golfing group and regular Sunday dinners with friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roger Andrews, Nina (Baker) Ewing, and his son, Jason Andrews. He leaves behind his wife of 25 years, Janet Andrews and daughter, Carrie Andrews.
A private gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date.
The family has requested, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Lexington Humane Society and Central Christian Church, Lexington, KY in memory of David M. Andrews.

Janet and Carrie, we are so sorry for the loss of David. We have really enjoyed the conversations and friendly advise that David has always shown and given over the years. He will truly be missed. Our hearts go out to you all.
There was never a time when I didn’t see David smiling or joking around. Whether seeing him in the gym or being at an event/party with David and Janet, it was always laughs and fun times. David will be missed. My heart goes out to Janet and Carrie. Rest In Peace, my friend.

I worked for David for a few years back in the late 90s. I am very sorry to hear of his death. My condolences.
David will be missed. I will be thinking of you Janet and you Carrie. David meant a great deal to our family as a mentor to Christy and a family friend and attorney.
