Assan “Andy” Laungani, 73, of Lexington passed away on June 19, 2020.  A native of Mumbai, India, he immigrated to the U.S. in the early ‘70s after a career in modeling and acting in Bollywood.

Always well-dressed and poised, he was a personal designer with clients spanning across the globe who trusted his expertise in clothing for decades. He was an avid traveler who spoke seven languages and truly immersed himself in various cultures. Known for being an exceptional and selfless host, he continued to serve others until his last breath. His dynamic presence filled any space, exuding life and energy. He embodied absolute class, always expressing love coupled with a radiant smile that lit the room. Most importantly, Andy cherished his family, striving to provide the best experiences for them in everything from education to vacations.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Jaswinder “Jas” Laungani, and his two children, Dr. Nashwin Laungani and Dr. Aneesha Laungani. His wife and children were the pride of his life, evident to others in all his conversations. He also leaves behind six siblings and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family, including his future daughter-in-law Julia Babbage.

Andy joins his mother and father in Heaven where they are walking the streets of gold together.

His visitation will occur on Saturday, June 27, 2020 from 2pm until 5pm at Milward-Broadway.

Memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or the American Cancer Society.
