Betty Jean Reynolds Boyd, 94, of Lexington, Kentucky passed
away on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at Central Baptist Hospice. She was the widow of the late John P.
Boyd. Betty was born on September 24,
1925 in Lexington, Kentucky to the late Asbuel Buckey and Jesse Walden Peel
Reynolds. Betty was a graduate of Henry
Clay High School (Class of 1944), a homemaker, and a member of First Christian
Church of Audubon Avenue in Lexington.
Besides her husband and parents, Betty was preceded in death
by four brothers and seven sisters.
She is survived by three daughters; Diana Meadows (Mike) of
Nicholasville, Kentucky, Betty Jo Friskney (Doyle) of Lexington, Kentucky, and Deborah
Eberhart Wilkinson (Russ) of Charlotte, North Carolina, ten grandchildren;
Robert Michael Meadows Jr., Lori Meadows Eckdahl, Jamie Meadows,
Tami Meadows Robinson, Amy Friskney, Susan Friskney Harder, Jessica Friskney Short, Jonathan Eberhart, Jennifer
Eberhart and Rachel Wilkinson, sixteen great-grandchildren, six great
great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 from 6:00 pm –
8:00 pm at Milward-Southland (391 Southland Dr., Lexington, Kentucky 40503.) A private graveside service will take place
for the family on Thursday, July 2.
Pallbearers will be Betty’s granddaughters: Lori Eckdahl, Amy Friskney, Susan Harder,
Jessica Short, Jennifer Eberhart and Rachel Wilkinson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Doyle Friskney
and Mike Meadows.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations to
Hospice of Bluegrass or to First Christian Church.
