Jeanette Morgan, 87, of
Versailles, Kentucky passed away on August 9, 2020 after a
courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
She was born in Combs, Kentucky on April 2nd 1933 and was the second of five daughters born to Sherman & Gladys Coda. She Graduated in 1950 from Combs High School. She began a thirty year career in Hazard and later Lexington Kentucky with GTE starting as an operator and ending up working in Personnel before retiring in 1981.
She was married to Harold Morgan on August 30, 1957 and they began a life together that lasted almost 63 years. They were the definition of what marriage means. They were incredibly close and supported and loved each other tirelessly. She was the mother of two boys, Keith & Stuart, who were born in 1958 and 1964. She supported them in all their endeavors and told them they could do anything that they set their mind to. She had two Grandchildren ,Jeff & Cody, that she loved very much.
Jeanette was a lover of music, Christmas and travel. She sang on the radio when she was young, had at least three Christmas trees up every year and traveled to many places including Florida, California & Oregon. One of her favorite places to visit was Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
Even with all her travels her love of Kentucky was strong. From the hills of Eastern Kentucky where she grew up to her home in Versailles that she shared with her family for 48 years she loved it.
Family was very important to her and she spent many good times with her sisters and their families. Betty, Shirley, Jean and Elaine were all very close to her. They were the Coda Girls.
She will be missed greatly by everyone she leaves behind. May she rest in eternal peace.
