Harold L. Pate, 88, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2020 leaving behind his wife Jane of 65 years and two sons, Glenn Pate of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and Ken (Nanine) Pate, Granddaughter Lynaia Pate all of Jessamine County, cousin Dwain Adair of Vinemont, AL, and several nieces and nephews. Harold was born February 22, 1932 in Cullman, AL to Leslie and Lela Mae Pate. He was preceded in death by three sisters Sarah, Mildred, Betty Jo, and one brother Hayward.
Harold graduated from Lafayette High School in 1951. He served as a Master Sergeant in the US Army during the time of the Korean War. Harold became a Master Plumber in 1960. He was the founder and former owner of Harold Pate Plumbing, Inc. for 30 years. He was a long-time member of Immanuel Baptist Church and the Prayer Warrior Bible Study class. Along with members of Immanuel Baptist Church Harold helped build several “Habitat for Humanity” homes. Harold was also a member of the American Legion and the Lexington Lions Club.
Visitation will be Wednesday September 9, 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Milward-Southland. The Funeral Service will commence Thursday September 10, at 11:30 am in the Sisk Chapel at Immanuel Baptist Church followed by entombment at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks and social distancing will be required.
Memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church Debt Retirement Fund or Bluegrass Care Navigators.
