Roger Craig Owens, 53, of Lexington, KY, died Monday, October 12, 2020, after a lengthy illness.  Craig was born on April 30, 1967 in Mansfield, OH to Roger F. Owens and Janis K. Owens. 

 

Craig graduated from Lafayette High School.  He obtained his real estate license and was a member of LBAR.  He was a huge collector of comic books, movies, DVD’s, board and video games. Craig attended and participated in several local and regional gaming conventions and was an avid UK Men’s Basketball fan.  He watched or listened to almost every game for most of his life and could recite facts about players and teams dating back decades. 

 

In addition to his parents, both of Lexington, KY, he is survived by his sisters, Sheri Owens, Richmond, KY and Jennifer (Kevin) Spencer, Lexington KY, as well as several nieces, nephews, uncles and Cousins.

 

Over the years, Craig was employed by Frisch’s Big Boy, at Target for 25 years and more recently, as a licensed (in escrow) Realtor with Classic Real Estate, all of Lexington, KY.

 

Craig was a soft-spoken, kind man with a gentle spirit and will be greatly missed by his former coworkers, friends and especially, his family.

 

Visitation for Craig will be from 5-7 PM, Saturday, October 17th at Milward-Southland, located at 391 Southland Drive, Lexington, KY 40503.  His funeral will be held at the same location on Sunday, October 18th at 3PM, with interment on Monday, October 19th, 3 PM at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens, 4915 Harrodsburg Road, Nicholasville, KY 40356.
