Enrico Louis Emanuele
Friday 9th of February 1923 - Wednesday 30th of December 2020

Enrico Louis Emanuele, 97 and
husband of 70 years to the late Jeannette Morin Emanuele passed away on
December 30, 2020. He was the eldest of
7 children born to Giacomo Emanuele and Josephine Neglia Emanuele on February
9, 1923 in New Bedford, Massachusetts.
Mr. Emanuele was a World War II
veteran, having served honorably aboard the USS Texas in the U.S. Navy. He met Jeannette at a USO event in Portland,
ME, when his ship was in port there and he was playing clarinet and saxophone
in the US Navy Band. He spent most of
his life in NJ where he retired after 25 years of service to the United States
Postal Service. Enrico and his wife
moved to Florida to enjoy their retirement.
In retirement Enrico loved to travel and he took up painting as a
hobby.
He will be remembered for his
positive attitude. He was a
glass-half-full type of person who was always smiling and who never sweated the
small obstacles that life sometimes brings.
He was very family oriented and he loved his wife very much. He was named after Enrico Caruso and that is
fitting as he loved to sing, often singing to Jeannette throughout their
marriage.
He is survived by his two children,
Mary (Kozo) Saito and Michael (Mary Kate) Emanuele; two sisters, Louise
Cassella and Vera Fiducia: a Sister-in-law Theresa Emanuele; three
grandchildren, Skyler Saito, William (Ashlee) Emanuele, and Alyssa (Nick)
Velez; three great-grandchildren, Ava and Vienna Velez and Ella Emanuele; and
numerous nieces and nephews who knew him as Uncle Henry.
In lieu of flowers, memorial
donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (https://www.alz.org)
or to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org/).
